Newest Updates

Updated

Agora Dead Boxes

The live video layout has been improved so empty or dead Agora video boxes do not keep showing after a stream state changes. This helps keep the livestream screen cleaner when users join, leave, reconnect, or switch roles.

Updated

Live Stores and Marketplace Imports

Live streams now support store-style selling by letting stream products be imported from marketplace listings. This gives hosts and approved stream helpers a faster way to feature products during a live without rebuilding listings from scratch.

Fixed

Comment Send Button

The comment send action has been worked on so comments can submit more reliably from the comment interface. This was important because broken comment sending affects posts, reels, engagement, and notification flow.

Updated

Solo Mode on Livestream

Solo mode gives a creator the ability to go live alone while still using the core live tools. This keeps the live experience usable even when there are no guests, cohosts, or classroom participants active.

Updated

Live Gifts Working and New Gifts Added

Live gifts are now working more smoothly, with new gifts added into the gift system. The update improves the gift experience for viewers and hosts by supporting newer gift options, better gift display behavior, and live earning feedback.

Persisting Issues Currently Being Worked On

In Progress

Unable to Access and Update PayPal Account Confirmation

The Login with PayPal seller confirmation flow still needs to be fully accessible and updateable. This is important for seller onboarding, because Canvas Cove needs a reliable way to confirm seller PayPal status before marketplace payments can be trusted at scale.

Blocked

Wise Payouts Disabled Until Confirmation

Wise payouts are currently disabled until the required confirmation path is stable. The goal is to avoid sending creators into an incomplete payout experience while account confirmation, payout eligibility, and seller payment requirements are still being cleaned up.

In Progress

Classroom Live Screen Sharing

Classroom live screen sharing is still an active technical issue. It needs a stable implementation that can handle permissions, screen capture, viewer rendering, and the classroom live layout without breaking the existing livestream experience.

Future Updates

Planned

Away Note on Marketplace

Sellers will be able to show an away note when shipping or fulfillment may be delayed. This helps buyers understand delays before or after purchase, especially when a seller is temporarily unavailable.

Planned

Out of Order Status on Products

Product listings will support an out of order status so sellers can temporarily mark an item unavailable without deleting the listing. This is useful for handmade products, limited stock, or items that need repair or restocking.

Planned

Total Account Summary Information

The account summary area will be expanded to show more complete totals, such as earnings, orders, purchases, marketplace activity, and payout-related information. Some of this information is not working or not implemented yet, so it will be added gradually as the backend data becomes reliable.

Planned

In-App Marketplace Orders, Tracking, and Buyer Info

Marketplace orders will get a dedicated in-app area for sellers and buyers. The goal is to show order details, buyer information, shipping status, tracking updates, and fulfillment progress directly inside Canvas Cove.

Planned

Report System on Individual Posts and Reels

Posts and reels will receive individual report options so users can report specific content instead of only reporting profiles. This will support safer moderation by tying reports directly to the exact post or reel that needs review.

Planned

Event Cancellation Notification to Followers

When a scheduled live event is cancelled, followers should receive a notification so they are not waiting for an event that is no longer happening. This improves trust around live event reminders and creator scheduling.

Planned

Multi-Language Support Implementation

Multi-language support is planned so Canvas Cove can support more users across different regions. This will likely include translated app text, language settings, and a cleaner structure for future localization.

Pending

External Review

Apple In-App Subscription Purchases Pending from Apple

Apple in-app subscription purchases are still pending Apple review or approval. The subscription flow needs to continue matching Apple requirements, including clear subscription details, price, duration, privacy policy access, and Terms of Use or EULA access inside the app experience.

External Setup

PayPal Login with PayPal Feature for Sellers

The seller PayPal login feature is still pending as part of the seller onboarding path. Once this is fully working, sellers should have a smoother way to connect or confirm their PayPal account for marketplace payments.

Current Priority Order

Based on the current state of Canvas Cove, the highest impact work is focused on payments, marketplace reliability, and live classroom features.

  1. Finish or unblock the seller PayPal confirmation path, because this affects marketplace payment trust.
  2. Keep Wise payouts disabled until confirmation and payout logic are safe to reopen.
  3. Stabilize live stores, product importing, and future order tracking so livestream selling and marketplace selling feel connected.
  4. Finish classroom screen sharing after the core live experience stays stable.
  5. Add reporting, event cancellation notifications, and multi-language support after the core commerce and live systems are safer.
